Here are some cute pics of my nephews...unfortunately it was so crazy last night that I didn't get a pic of darling little Madi. And I had to throw in some of Shelby too. Even though she is in the dog house, literally and figuratively speaking. The mutt doesn't pee in the house at all...but put her in the car and one min down the road and it's EVERYWHERE!!! Twice today already... she's spending the rest of the day outside and away from me for everyone's peace of mind :)

Roaring Springs!
Well, I don't have any pics to go along with this one... I didn't really feel good about bringing an expensive camera into a water park full of strangers ;) Oh well, it was quite fun anyway. It was Law Enforcement Appreciation Night. All law enforcement, EMTs, Firefighters, etc. were able to get in for $10 for the whole family. A great deal, since it usually costs a small fortune to get into Roaring Springs. The only downside was that it didn't start til 8pm and it's been fairly cool the last few days until today of course. So it was a bit chilly, but very fun. We went on the Avalanche, where my heart jumped through my mouth... I had to go down backwards since I'm the lightest and what a scary feeling to be tipping over the edge and then all of a sudden you're just dropping... what a thrill... I'm not sure my neck appreciated it too much though :) We went into the wave pool, floated the endless river, rode the Viper Vortex.... all in all a very fun evening. My hubby is wonderful to take me on fun surprises like that. We met our friends KJ & Cassie there and besides the fiasco at Shari's restaurant afterwards, the night was quite enjoyable.
We went to Shari's once we left Roaring Springs to get some hot chocolate (since we all were freezing) and something to eat. Unfortunately, we encountered the worst service EVER! I asked for decaf coffee to mix with my hot chocolate. 30min later, neither our food nor my coffee had come to the table... neither had our waiter... not one stop by the table to check on us. Finally Sage asked another waitress to get my coffee...which was cold :p At the 45 min mark our waiter finally came by, saying nothing about our food, but promising me a fresh cup of hot chocolate and the hot coffee. 10 min later there was still no food or fresh hot chocolate or waiter. We tracked down the manager and told him that we'd been waiting an hour for our order and he rushed off. 10 min later after no sign of the manager or waiter or food or hot chocolate we just up and left. We did pay for the one cup of hot chocolate; our waiter tried to blame the wait on the poor cook, but since the table by us got their food after just 20 min (and they ordered after us) we had to come to the conclusion that our waiter forgot to turn our ticket in and wouldn't own up to it. Needless to say we left Shari's at 12:15am very hungry, tired and a little irritated. We have all vowed never to return to Shari's again.
Even so, it was a night to remember :)

Camping With the Fam
Since Sage was leaving for AT, I decided to go camping with my family and some friends. It was the beginning of that EXTREMELY hot phase we went through in July. Even in the mountains it was pretty miserable. So my mom and I had a great idea to keep cool. We moved our camp chairs to sit right in the middle of the creek, where we spent the entire day. We were joined by everyone else. It was a very fun and relaxing day....though my parents did catch me reading Harry Potter and wondered where they had gone wrong and hadn't they brought me up better than that :) All in all, it was a fun campout, besides the fact that I was crying for my hubby. I know, very pathetic :)
WEDDING DAY!!

Yes, I realize it's been over four months ago... but it's my blog and I wanted some wedding pics on here :) I have to say that I was a little worried that I'd turn into Bridezilla on my weding day... but I didn't. And this isn't just on my say-so, one of my dear bridesmaids told me I was the calmest bride she ever saw. What a fun day! Suzi (my very dear friend from PA) and I were the first to arrive-way too early in the morning I might add. Finally after hours of getting ready and calming my dad down from having a heart attack ( he must've been nervous about being up in front of all those people) I finally got to see my husband to be. I have to say that I didn't cry that day (though I teared up a time or two), but it was the happiest day of my life! I married the perfect man for me and even though the wedding was late starting and my wedding dress was starting to crack my ribs it was still the best day ever, because the only thing that mattered was that I was able to marry the man that I love so dearly!
AT... The Longest Two Weeks of My Life :)
Well, Sage was gone for TWO weeks for AT (Annual Training)!!! I confess whole-heartedly that I'm as big as wuss as they come :) I'm gonna need a lot more practice in case he ever gets deployed. I didn't watch a single Law & Order while he was gone, but I was still sure someone was going to break into our house and the only way I could prevent that was to stay awake all night long waiting for it to happen... Not the greatest of ideas... I think it made me even more paranoid :) But he's home now and all is good... at least until his next 2 week stint in the fall. He did buy me Shelby to keep me company and to protect me. I don't know how the protecting thing will work out... so far she's a bigger wuss than I am :) But I love her and she's a great companion! Anyway, I need to brag on my wonderful hubby for a bit. He was AMAZING while we were apart. He texted me throughout the day and called me at least one time a day...even though the phone reception usually ended our calls early. But he was great! Very supportive and sensitive... He even sent me the biggest most beautiful bouquet of flowers. Later I will post some of the pics that he took waaaaay out in the middle of no where

YEAH!!! We are now the proud owners of a puppy! We bought Shelby at the Canyon County Animal Shelter. Interesting piece of info... she was born on our wedding day...
it must be destiny :)
She's 4 months old and is lab/coonhound mix, very adorable. She has a very mellow and cuddly personality. She fits in perfect with our family. We told my dad that it's his new pseudo grandchild... he seemed thrilled :)
