What A Week....
It's been one of those crazy busy weeks...two more days to go and then I'll finally get to rest :) Monday I was working with my grandpa and Tuesday was Sage's oral board with BPD. We haven't heard anything back yet and are on pins and needles! Wednesday he had a bunch of homework and I had errands to run, then Bible Study at night. Thursday I worked and he did even more homework and then we drove to Mountain Home to visit Commission. It was so wonderful to see everyone again and of course introduce my new hubby around :) We brought Jacob with us so that he could see his friends. Then Jake spent the night with us at our house, though Sage and I totally wimped out on him and went to bed. He stayed up and played some football game on the Xbox. Friday I worked all day, Sage left for drill and then I went to my friend Bre's bachelorette party and am now home and ready to crawl into bed with what's left of my poor battered feet :) Tomorrow it's off to Ontario to see my sister and my adorable nephews and niece, then back to Nampa to clean my house, grocery shop and get everything ready for a belated Father's Day meal at my house on Sunday.... then Monday I work with my gramps again... Tuesday can't get here fast enough. Sage and I are planning to sleep in til 11 or 12 :)

Our First Camping Trip

We went on our first camping trip together last week. It was so fun! We went to Horse Thief Reservoir, which is up by Cascade. We left after Sage got off work on Monday night... after a few mishaps and stopping for fast food, we finally made it out of town and onto the wide open road. After a fun trip of singing to the radio and using some especially dirty gas station bathrooms, we made it to our destination. It turns out that our tent is actually an 8 person tent and we were in a race against the night time to get that tent set up. We won the race! The next battle was to get a fire started when everything was wet... I let my hubby conquer that one :) He had us a wonderful fire lit and we cuddled by the fire for an hour or so and then hit the hay.
Tuesday I cooked us a wonderful breakfast (though I did forget the syrup for our french toast) and we walked around and went for a drive and got the Bronco nice and muddy! We relaxed around the camp later that day. I started feeding a cute little ground squirrel and next thing we knew there were about ten of them swarming around us and begging for food. One even ran off with Sage's beef jerky that he had set down on a plate. It was pretty funny. Of course there were the customary S'mores made that night.
4:30 am we both got scared awake by the BIGGEST clap of thunder I've ever heard. And then it started raining. It was really peaceful (after our heart attacks subsided) and cool to listen to the now distant thunder rumble and the rain fall onto our tent and the birds chirping. Of course once morning came we had to pack everything up in the rain and mud, but all in all, it was a great first camping trip!

We had a very exciting phone call a couple weeks ago. My husband has always wanted to be a police officer. He took a written exam and a physical exam in January... which he passed with flying colors. But BPD has been on a hiring freeze because of the economy. We weren't sure when he would be called for an interview. Finally after months of prayer and patience, Sage received a call from the Boise Police Department asking him to come in for an oral board (an interview). His interview is Tuesday, June 23rd, at 8:15am. We would really appreciate your prayers for God's will in our lives! Thank you!
One Month Anniversary
Well, obviously this is a little late...but this whole blogging thing is very difficult to figure out :)
Tuesday (April 28th) was our one month anniversary :) We went to Carino's Italian for dinner and it was so yummy. Then we went to Old Navy to get some summer clothes for my man. After that we went to the movies... unfortunately, because of this movie, my husband won't talk to Tasha anymore. Tasha said it was a good movie... apparently Tasha & Sage don't have the same taste in movies. All in all, though, it was a wonderful anniversary.
